BREEAM = Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method

BREEAM is the most widely used environmental assessment method for buildings and covers a wide range of commercial and domestic properties including those undergoing major refurbishment.
Developers and designers can prove thier environmental credentials to planners and clients,there are ever more stringent regulations required for carbon emissions on new-builds and we can provide all the necessary assessments and paperwork.
CSH= Code for Sustainable Homes
This is used for new-build homes and has a scoring system of six levels and seven criteria it's aim is to build homes with a reduced carbon footprint.
Scope and Scoring
Many housebuilders who have used Ecohomes will find the credit system of the Code familiar. Users will notice that there are new mandatory minimum levels of performance that have been introduced across 7 key issues:
- Energy efficiency/CO2
- Water efficiency
- Surface water management
- Site waste management
- Household waste management
- Use of materials
- Lifetime homes (applies to Code Level 6 only)
