Healthcare,NEW Construction BREEAM Scheme.
BREEAM Healthcare is an enviromental assessment method that was commissioned by the Department for Health and can be used at all stages of a building's life cycle.The scheme can be used to assess the enviromental
impact of occupied or unoccupied Healthcare buildings.
The Department of Health require,for planning approval,that all new builds achieve an excellent rating and that refurbishments achieve a very good rating.
The following types can be assessed.
Teaching hospitals.
General Acute Hospitals.
Community and mental Health Hospitals.
GP Surgeries.
Health centres and clinics.
